My name is Morgan and I am pursuing my Zoology BA at OSU. My goal is to use my degree to aid in wildlife preservation and in the effort to rebuild and relocate animals that have lost their habitats. I have a personal interest in animals, their behavior, and their well-being. I care a great deal about animals and their safety, so I do not support cosmetics that test on animals or use non vegan formulas. I believe in sustainable sourcing and the use of recyclable and biodegradable materials for product packaging.

My favorite plant is the weeping cherry tree. I love how it smells and looks, I also love how the petals fall in the wind. What I find the most interesting about the natural world are the things that we cant explain and phenomena that we can see but not explain. I find the ocean very interesting and the idea that we have not explored 95 percent of our oceans.

Botany: the scientific study of plants, including their physiology, structure, genetics, ecology, distribution, classification, and economic importance. -Oxford dictionary

What I hope to learn from this class is a deeper understanding of plant life in Ohio and to learn more deeply how plant life affects wildlife.
